There is a moment in the Gospels where Jesus gets cross. He was teaching one day when parents arrived with their children.

As kids are, the children were noisy and got on the nerves of the adults and the disciples tried to send them away.

Jesus was not having any of it and was angry at the very idea.  He welcomed the children and their parents. He gathered each child in his arms and blessed them.

At baptism we bring the children to Jesus that he may receive and bless them. With this sacrament they are also received into the Christian community which will support them all their lives.

The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the second Sunday of each month at 12.30 pm.

A preparation meeting for Parents and Godparents with the Baptismal Team takes place on the preceding Wednesday at 8.00 p.m.
