Prayer before Serving

God we thank you for calling us to serve at your altar.

Be with us as we assist at Mass.

Help us to understand that if we serve with dignity and reverence it will help the people to pray;

if we serve poorly it will distract them.

Help us to serve well in the name of Jesus your Son. Amen.

Prayer After Serving

We give you thanks Lord, for calling us to serve you.

Strengthen our loyalty and keep us faithful to you, so that we may enjoy your friendship forever.
